A small shelf

One thing, made quietly.

The store holds the journal's slow shelf — one issue at a time goes on the page, then the next one comes beside it. Each one is a roughly 96-page A5 softcover on uncoated 120gsm paper, with a thread-bound spine and a soft cotton cover. Small enough to slip into a coat pocket, slow enough to come back to on a Tuesday evening.

Each order ships from the print partner with a US address collected at checkout, then forwarded by hand. The site never asks for an account, never asks for an email before payment, and never sends anything that isn't directly about the package you bought. Earlier writing lives in the journal.

  • First print run

    Issue 01

A quiet A5 softcover journal — about 96 pages on uncoated 120gsm paper, with a thread-bound spine and a soft cotton cover. Unhurried writing, light enough to slip into a coat pocket, ready to come out when the day slows down.

  • Issue 02

The second quiet print of the journal — same A5 softcover on uncoated 120gsm stock, with a slightly shorter run so the book lands lighter in the hand. Aimed at the kitchen light, between the kettle and the second cup.

  • Issue 03

The third quiet print of the journal — same A5 softcover on uncoated 120gsm stock, kept on the shelf beside Issue 01 and Issue 02. The same short-run rhythm, the same book that comes out at the bus stop or on the third cup, between one errand and the next.

A note before you order

A new print run goes on the shelf when the previous one sells through. The shop is the only place on the site that asks for payment — the rest of the pages are here to keep us company, not to convert us.
